This Church Planting Team Leader Training Program (CPTLTP) is designed for the equipping of a Church Planting Team Leader (CPTL) who has been selected to lead a church planting team.  The program is sponsored by VFC and is conducted in cooperation with ATC.  The program precedes and continues with the Church Planting Training Program (CPTP), it starts four months prior to the CPTP Phase II and continues through the three months (2 months local training and 1 month on the mission field for cultural and language immersion).  In this program the qualities, responsibilities and roles of the CPTL are identified and discussed.  The CPTLTP is built upon other biblical, theological and practical foundation studies offered by ATC or a comparable institution.  (Registration is by VFC invitation only.)

OBJECTIVES

The program objectives are:

  1. To provide the CPTL with a clear understanding of VFC’s vision and commitment to world missions and the church planting principles it follows.
  2. To equip the CPTL to effectively lead a church planting team.

The CPTL who completes the program of instruction is awarded a certificate in Church Planting Team Leader Training Program.

Any CPTL who leads a successful church planting effort under the auspices of VFC is eligible for 3 academic credits Pass in MI 474 Church Planting Practicum if the stipulated academic evaluative reports are submitted.

ACADEMIC CREDITS

Any CPLT who successfully plants a church under the auspices of VFC is eligible for academic credits for the following practicums:

EV 111     Discipleship Practicum            1 credit
MI 311     Church Planting Practicum     1 credit

Proper registration and verification by VFC Missions Office are required.
